THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN when i feel most bored because most of my friends are either back to their hometown, in overseas already, or still having classes. even my monash classmates are mostly back in their hometown for the 3 weeks break. i guess im really gonna relax my mind for the next 3 weeks to the maximum, before it all begins again. on the bright note, yeay, i might be meeting up with my college friends very soon next week, atleast something is happening (wow i say until i have like NO LIFE). i have just cleared out my closet which was full of SPM, A Levels and both last and this semester's stuff. imagine it was four shopping bags full. and the plastic bags were the huge ones, not the small one. still, that is only one part of the closet. I still have tonnes of clothings which i do not wear anymore and i still have yet to dispose them. you must be thinking, give to charity lah, but nope, not gonna do that, since they are wayy too old and shabby to be given away to even orphanages or charity. they deserve better things and new products just as much as we do. giving them worned out old clothings is as good as an insult to them. my final exam was on the 29th which was chm1022 chemistry. the paper was okay but there were some funny questions in the organic part which i don even remember studying but what the heck is just 3 marks out of 180. the thing which i am quite unsatisfied is the pH calculation question which i did not manage to finish because i spent too much time in the kinetics question and thermodynamics question. and also the silliest mistake by forgetting to convert pressure of 1 atm to 1.03 X 10^5 Pa before using the 1st law of thermodynamics, GAHH wasted 2 marks. these marks in my opinion are more worthy to think about than the 3 marks for something which was not even taught in lecture. after the paper, there was a huge discussion over the paper of course, but after those reviews, a bunch of us headed to pyramid for jean wei's farewell (she is leaving for clayton on 5th of july). we settled at italiannese for lunch.
the food: awesome, but too filling for me even though we ordered so little. the price: affordable! but i think this is only valid if you go in a larger group of 6 or more. for me the bill was 161+ splitted into 7 so it was quite cheap. after italiannese, 5 of the girls went bowling, while the rest of us tagged along to watch.
after a while, li yoke and i went shopping. seriously, i was so mad at not being able to shop in the GSS that i wanted to just buy the stuff i liked back here even w/o the sales. but then i had to decide which to get since i saw 2 eye catching tees and 1 pants from topman. and the sales in quiksilver and roxy too. i ended up not buying anything yet that day, but i will be doing so soon. i am still happy i got the levi's from singapore credits to stephanie who got it for me when she was there. thanks much! atleast i benefitted from the GSS indirectly. trust me it was bloody cheap and the item is not even available in msia yet! honestly, i feel malaysian sales are not sincere enough just like pauline said. its either a very low % such as 20 or 30%. then there are the very high % like 70 to 80% because they are old stock. like seriously, the mega sales here does not even include my favourite outlets, they only include Jusco or Parkson and not other retail outlets. like what is up with that? anyway, i am quite excited for the half blood prince! i had to endure a whole semester in monash waiting for it to show since WB moved the show 7 months away from the initial air date back in november last year. it had better be worth the wait! on an unrelated matter, i just finished watching table of glory. sigh, although Shengwu won in the final match, i was not happy with the ending at all, because he's no longer the cheerful and happy person he used to be. Yikes, mediacorp has this thing in making funny unwanted endings for their good shows such as the little nyonya. p/s: the road home on KBS World is getting more and more exciting and kan cheong that i am beginning to curse each time the show ends at a dramatic scene! |
