THE PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE

The Past:

It was as if I had moved faster in time than any other matter in space. It seems only yesterday that i was with Choo, meeting up in Monash after his Dynamics paper; the day i handed in my Monash acceptance form and officially enrolled into my first semester units. It was also the day we went out together after a long time, since he left Sunway University half a year ago for Monash. Anyway, I remembered that we went to Jusco Bukit Tinggi to catch Prom Night. Note that at that period of time, there were rumours that the cinema was haunted. As we went into the cinema for our show, it was pitch black that we cant even see the seats without the light from our handphones. LOL. Anyway, my point is, I have already completed my first year in Monash. It was this fast. And i have another 2 years to go before i earn my degree. The university experience was a mixture of feelings for me. There were the happy times when you meet new people and also see your existing or old friends who parted with you since high school. The happy times continue when you have fun laughing and hanging out with them. Then there was the worst of university: WORKLOAD. It was a complete different atmosphere, college and university. I had my first experience learning through lectures (way weird because it seems i need to study by myself to actually understand rather than the lecturer explaining to me most of the time), preparing tedious laboratory reports (this was bad in semester 2 2008 especially for CHM1011), and assignments. Then in semester 1 2009, i discovered i had to take 3 units with  laboratory and indeed, had to complete 22 reports, the most in my entire studying semester. If i am not wrong, no other 1st year students ever needed to complete this amount of reports and i am proud to say i did quite good this semester. overall HD for all reports. : ) : ) : )

The Present:

Now that it is the semester holidays, i have another 2 weeks plus of break before it all begins again. After my last paper on Monday, some of my uni mates and i celebrated jean wei's farewell in pyramid (see previous post). Few days later, i spent my time to catch up with Mediacorp's Table of Glory which i missed while studying for exams. I completed it anyway, and i didnt enjoy the ending just like i didnt enjoy the ending of the little nyonya. I did not go to JB to meet Ian as planned due to opposition from many family members over the swine flu issue.

I SHOULD HAVE JUST WENT.

Stephanie celebrated her birthday over in Hard Rock Singapore, and i was suppose to join her but didnt manage to make it. We were suppose to go visit her friend's ice cream shop opening over at Iruma Shopping complex, but she went alone instead. She came back on thursday and we met up on friday. She brought me the Levi's which was so darn cheap (Note this is not exaggerating, it is DARN CHEAP compared to your normal Levi's). We met up with Amanda and her brother who just got back from Queensland for the semester break (no they don have h1n1). And we talked so much on how different things are in Australia and Malaysia. Note that i heard  the malls in Queensland is like one hundredth of One Utama, and i am already complaining that Malaysia's mall cannot beat Vivo City and Takashimaya in Singapore. Hahah but i loved how Amanda said that the day she flew in to KLIA and about to cross the road on the pedestrian crossing, WOOSSSSHHHHH in front of their eyes. HAHAHAHA. If you do not get me, you should experience crossing the pedestrian crossings some day and you will automatically understand! I saw Transformers 2 on Friday in pyramid and got myself a new top (as I promised myself because i didnt go to singapore). The movie was good! It was too long though because i needed to use the washroom badly in the middle of the movie but i was so determined not to leave midway as i know i would miss out much. But i enjoyed the show though, seeing all the visual effects and computer technology. I wonder if any engineering are involved, seeing that robotics are part of mechatronics engineering. HMMM.. Hahaha. I heard from my uncle that the scene which involved the mass destruction of Shanghai was deleted from the movie screened in Shanghai. Currently, i am watching the latest Mediacorp drama 双子星 (The Ultimatum) which stars Fann Wong and Zoey Tay. Fann Wong is gorgeous in this! She looks so much prettier here than in the Star Awards 09.

The Future:

Year 2 of university begins and i have heard from all my seniors that year 2 is really difficult, be it from my engineering friends or my fellow science friends. I can imagine myself suffering next semester. One good thing though, i have only one lab unit which is instrumental chemistry CHM2741 and hahaha, no biology for next semester. I do hope next semester wouldn't be too tough for me, i don't want my GPA to drop drastically and school of science is known to make people's GPA drop drastically with some of their ridiculous units which makes no sense.
